Jeannine Gerhardt
  • Assistant Professor
Research Focus:

Dr. Jeannine Gerhardt received a master degree in Biochemistry from Friedrich Schiller University (Jena, Germany) and a doctorate in Molecular Biology from Ludwig Maximilian University (Munich, Germany). She conducted her post-doctoral training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and worked as Instructor at the Albert-Einstein College of Medicine before being appointed as Assistant Professor of Stem Cell Biology in the Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Jeannine's research program is focused on DNA replication and genomic stability in human cells, in particular in stem cells with a predisposition for cancer and other disorders.

madhura
Madhura Deshpande
  • Postdoctoral fellow
Research Focus:

Madhura received her Ph.D. from University of Pune, India and is currently working as a postdoc in the Gerhardt lab. Her research investigates the errors in DNA replication and how they can trigger alterations in genome leading to diseases such as cancer. She aims to assess accurate DNA replication in human pluripotent stem cells which can be used for regenerative medicine.
